Together for a Greater Purpose believes we can help break systemic barriers that keep single parents, families, and their children in poverty. A stable and positive family environment ensures children have more opportunities to succeed early in life, builds a strong foundation for better health, improves educational opportunities, and increases the likelihood of achieving long-term stability. Our grant program helps make sustainable homeownership possible by providing the down payment and closing costs to single parents and families that meet our criteria.
Together for a Greater Purpose works with low-income single parents and families who are taking steps to rebuild their lives and are ready to purchase a home of their own in a safe neighborhood and community. Working side by side, we assist them as they navigate the process, including pre-qualifying for a home loan, finding the right home in the right neighborhood, and meeting with our homeownership coach. We help them make a budget, learn basic home maintenance, and set goals for a better quality of life.
